China reform raises fragile hopes

China has long been viewed as possibly the last major emerging market to conquer by global custodian banks. In recent years, the Mainland’s measured pace of reforms has provided some opportunities for operators, as in the QDII arena. But this window is narrow and so far at least, the sums involved represent a drop in the bucket compared to the current pool of available investments and savings.
