New chief executive will have to deliver on campaign promises
At a colourful ceremony 15 years ago the Union Jack was lowered over the crown colony of Hong Kong and the Chinese national flag was raised, marking the handover of power. The British VIPs sailed away on the royal yacht, having hosted a grand dinner party for the local and Chinese dignitaries.
