ACE Life picks ex Manulife exec for Hong Kong job

Jeffrey Woo has been named chief agency officer in Hong Kong for ACE Life, the global life insurance arm of ACE Group.
According to a statement, Mr. Woo will also be a member of the executive committee in Hong Kong. He will be responsible for the entire agency management and report to Allan Lam, country president of ACE Life in the territory. Mr. Woo replaces Daniel Tang.
“I’m very pleased to have Jeffrey on board as his previous experience in agency management will prove invaluable to the personalised customer care provided by ACE Life,” said Mr. Lam. “Agency is our core distribution channel, which we will continue to grow and develop. I am confident that Jeffrey will lead our agency teams to the next level of professionalism and productivity as well as to deliver better services to our customers.”
Mr. Woo had worked at a number of global life insurers before joining ACE Life. His most recent role has been deputy regional chief agency officer at Manulife Financial Asia, after assuming the role as director of a global professional services company specialising in advising insurance companies on agency growth initiatives.
