BNP Paribas names Yang as Greater China boss

BNP Paribas has appointed Paul Yang as the regional head for Greater China and country head for China, effective from September 1.
Mr. Yang will take on the new roles in addition to his current responsibilities as head of country for Hong Kong and chief executive officer of BNP Paribas’s Hong Kong branch.
BNP Paribas said in a statement that Mr. Yang will report to Eric Raynaud, chief executive officer of BNP Paribas Asia Pacific.
Mr. Yang joined BNP Paribas in Paris in 1988 and has held various senior positions in France and in Asia over the years, including head of country for Taiwan between 2001 and 2004. He was appointed head of country for Hong Kong and chief executive officer of BNP Paribas’s Hong Kong branch in 2011.
