BlackRock appoints new head of corporate comms for Asia ex-Japan

Rowena Kwok is to join BlackRock as director and head of corporate communications for Asia ex-Japan. With more than 17 years’ experience in corporate communications, she joins the firm from Fidelity Worldwide Investment where she spent the last six years

Mark McCombe, BlackRock's chairman, Asia-Pacific says: “We are delighted that Rowena will be joining BlackRock. She brings an immense amount of industry experience and high energy which will help us deliver our communications strategy across the region. In times of market volatility and economic uncertainty it is critical that BlackRock communicates effectively with our clients and investors. Rowena’s extensive asset management knowledge and understanding of the media landscape will help us achieve this.”
