Citi has been appointed by Franklin Templeton Investments (Asia) Limited to provide trustee, custody and transfer agent services in support of the launch of its inaugural Templeton China Opportunities Fund in Hong Kong. Leveraging Citi’s breadth of product capabilities, global network and knowledge on QFII, this new mandate extends an existing relationship for which Citi currently provides fund services for Franklin Templeton’s MPF funds.
“We are honored to be selected by Franklin Templeton to support the launch of their first A-Share Unit Trust, Templeton China Opportunities Fund, in Hong Kong.” said David Russell, regional head, Asia Pacific, securities and fund services, Citi Transaction Services. “This new mandate further demonstrates how global fund managers are employing locally manufactured funds tailor-made for Asian markets and how Citi is well-positioned to support these opportunities with our strong trust and fund administration capabilities, as well as solid experiences on QFII.”
With over US$1.5 trillion in assets under administration, Citi is a leading global service provider to the global funds industry. Citi’s full suite of investment service solutions delivered through Citi OpenInvestor lets managers focus on their core activities of managing assets and serving their clients.
