Citi has appointed Riko Adythia Tasmaya as head of Citi transaction services (CTS) for Indonesia. Based in Jakarta, he takes on the role after leading Citi Indonesia’s treasury and trade solutions (TTS) business since October 2010. Mr. Tasmaya succeeds Sanjeev Jain who joined Citi Indonesia as head of CTS in 2011.

In his new role, Mr. Tasmaya will be responsible for the operating performance, building and executing CTS’ growth strategy in Indonesia, and ensuring alignment with both its global and local businesses to maximise growth in this important market. He will join the CTS Asia Pacific management team and will work alongside his colleagues and partners to further extend and deepen Citi’s product capabilities and global connectivity for Citi Indonesia.

Mr. Tasmaya will lead a team that has successfully established CTS as an industry leader in Indonesia. He brings with him 17 years of experience with the firm having joined Citi in 1995 as a management associate and having held various senior roles, including a two-year stint with Citi New York’s export agency finance team as part of Citi’s leadership management program, Asia Pacific Fast Track; and as deputy CFO for Citi Indonesia.

“Riko brings tremendous experience, deep knowledge and understanding of the local financial industry, and we look forward to his leadership as we continue to build out our CTS presence and provide market leading transaction services in the local market,” said Tigor Siahaan, Citi country officer for Indonesia.

“Given the deep bench strength, we are delighted to promote from within with Riko assuming the leadership role for our business in Indonesia. As head of trade and treasury services and chief operating officer for our business in Indonesia, he has been a key driver to the growth of the business, especially in trade, and has been instrumental in advocating the ‘One Citi’ value proposition across the Indonesia franchise. We believe that under his leadership and with a strong local team, we are committed to reaffirming and growing Citi’s dominant position in transaction banking in the country,” said Amol Gupte, head of CTS for Asia Pacific..

“As one of the 16 priority emerging countries, Indonesia is in a very strong position to offer tremendous opportunities to Citi and its clients. With our longstanding history in Indonesia and strong client base, we can continue to bring excellent value proposition, innovative products and services then marry the CTS global network, expertise and state-of-the-art platform to support Citi Indonesia’s clients to capture these opportunities,” said Mr. Tasmaya.

Citi transaction services is a division of Citi’s institutional clients group that offers integrated cash management, trade, and securities and fund services to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organisations around the world. In Asia Pacific, the CTS team provides on-the-ground relationships in 18 markets and end-to-end transaction services capabilities.
