Eastspring Investments, the asset management arm of Prudential Corporation Asia, has appointed Jackie Chew as chief executive officer of its Singapore business.

Reporting to Eastspring Investments’ Chief Executive, Guy Strapp, Ms. Chew will be responsible for the operations of the Singapore office, which serves as the asset manager’s central investment hub. The largest of Eastspring’s 11 Asia offices, it has just under 300 staff.

“We are delighted that Jackie is joining the Eastspring Investments’ team in Singapore. Having worked closely with the Singapore team for a number of years she has an excellent understanding of our business,” said Mr. Strapp. “Jackie’s experience in asset management, life insurance, corporate banking, investment banking, together with her strong leadership skills will ensure our business continues to go from strength to strength in this important market. Jackie’s move to Eastspring Investment will also draw on strong ties with the other Prudential businesses.”
