Guotai Junan International, a subsidiary of Mainland securities brokerage Guotai Junan Securities, announced on Thursday (February 28) that the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) had awarded it a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII) licence on February 21.
“Receiving QFII approval from the CSRC will allow us to further enrich our product portfolio and meet different investors’ needs when it comes to investing in China,” Managing Director Yuan Junping said.
Established in March 2010 in Hong Kong, Guotai Junan International is mainly engaged in securities brokerage, futures brokerage, corporate finance, asset management, research, and financing.
Up to the end of January, the CSRC had awarded QFII licenses to 213 foreign institutions.
