Aviva Investors announced on Monday (October 15) the appointment of Benjamin Aiken as head of business development, Asia Pacific real estate in Singapore.

Mr. Aiken, a specialist in real estate private capital markets, will be responsible for developing real estate client and consultant relationships and will work with the generalist sales and client services teams to grow the real estate business in the region. He will report to Ian Hally, chief executive Asia Pacific real estate.

Mr. Hally said: "Asia Pacific real estate is one of the growth markets for Aviva Investors' institutional business. As such, we are keen to continue building our real estate presence and establish a solid foothold in Asia Pacific and I'm confident that Ben will help us in achieving our goals. He brings an intimate understanding of the region, having worked extensively in Asia Pacific for over 16 years and has a successful track record in building up new institutional client relationships."

Mr. Aiken joins Aviva Investors after nine years with Macquarie Capital where he was a division director, and more recently led the private capital markets effort for the infrastructure advisory team across Asia.
