M&G promotes Marcel de Bruijckere to senior APAC role

M&G Investments announced on Monday (February 18) the appointment of Marcel de Bruijckere as director of institutional business, Asia Pacific.
Mr. de Bruijckere is responsible for M&G’s institutional client relationships in Asia, spanning sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies and foundations.
He joined M&G in February and will be based in Singapore from mid-March. He reports to Andrew Hendry, managing director, M&G Asia.
Prior to joining M&G, Mr. de Bruijckere was head of Asian distribution at LGT Capital Management in Singapore. His career includes 20 years with ABN AMRO Asset Management in Amsterdam, Milan, Singapore and Hong Kong in roles spanning fixed income portfolio management, institutional sales and business management. His most recent position was CEO of Singapore and head of institutional sales, South & Southeast Asia.
Mr. Hendry says: “Marcel’s appointment is an important part of our commitment to the market in Asia. Marcel will provide a high level of local support for the growing number of institutional clients M&G has in the region and we are very pleased to welcome him to the team in Singapore.”
