CCAM appoints Koonnang Tse as business development director

Cathay Conning Asset Management (CCAM) announced the appointment of Koonnang Tse as the business development director on Monday (February 4). Reporting to Mark Konyn, the chief executive of CCAM, Mr. Tse is responsible for business development in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

“We are delighted to have Koonnang join our team. We have been looking for a strong candidate who has experience in the region, understands Asian investors’ requirements and has an entrepreneurial approach to developing business. Koonnang’s technical background in investment and his knowledge of the institutional and insurance segments is a very good fit for CCAM and our target clients,” explained Mr. Konyn. “He will also strengthen our provision of risk consulting services we are introducing to clients in the region including the advisory and software tools we are discussing with insurers on a standalone basis.”

Prior to joining CCAM, Mr. Tse focused on institutional business development at Amundi and RCM for clients in Hong Kong and Taiwan. From 2006 to 2009 he was vice president with PIMCO covering Scandinavian central banks and large pension funds. He started his career at Hewitt Associates in actuarial work focusing on defined benefit scheme liabilities.
