Deutsche names David West head of TAS for APAC

Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division announced on Thursday (February 21) the appointment of David West as regional head of trust and agency services (TAS) for the Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. West will report to Mrugank Paranjape, regional head of TAS and cash management for financial institutions – Asia Pacific.

 

He replaces Sally Gilding who has been appointed global head of corporate services. In his new role, Mr. West will be tasked with building on the success of Deutsche Bank’s TAS business, which comprises corporate trust – including agency and trustee services and escrow solutions, as well as corporate services – including special purpose vehicles administration and fund of hedge fund services.

Since moving to Deutsche Bank in 1999, Mr. West has held various positions within the bank’s TAS business in the US, UK and Hong Kong. He has led teams within analytics, EMEA structured credit services and loan syndication groups. Most recently, he was the regional head of product management for the TAS business in the Asia Pacific.

 

In commenting on this appointment, Mr. Paranjape said: “David brings with him a wealth of experience in all facets of the corporate trust and agency services business. I am confident that he will be very successful in his new role. We are proud to be one of the few banks able to offer best-in-class services in this highly specialised business in the Asia Pacific region."
