Essence appoints Liu Ruling as new GM

Essence Fund Management has named Liu Ruling, former director of Essence Futures, the company’s new general manager, effective from October 12. He replaces Wang Lianzhi, who moved on to become president of Essence Securities in September.
Joining Essence Securities in June 2007, Mr. Liu has held various senior positions including head of human resources and head of sales. Before that, he served at China Merchants Securities as general manager of the wealth management division.
Established in 2011, Essence Fund Management is co-owned by Essence Securities, Minmetals Capital Holdings, and CGN Finance Co. The company has total AUM of around 1.1 billion RMB (US$174 million).
