HSBC appoints new global head of transfer agency

HSBC announced on Thursday (February 21) the appointment of Sooraj Sreenivasan as global head of transfer agency and distribution support, effective from March 1. Mr. Sreenivasan will be based in Singapore and report directly to global head of fund services, Ian Stephenson.
He will focus on developing the firm’s transfer agency and distribution product capabilities and improving the client experience.
“His deep product knowledge, experience and his exposure to the Asian markets will be beneficial in driving the strategic agenda of our global transfer agency and distribution product,” said Mr. Stephenson. “The development and support of cross-border fund distribution is a key part of our UCITS offering and Mr. Sreenivasan will work with the team to build and deliver market leading capabilities in this space.”
Mr. Sreenivasan has over 13 years of experience in servicing asset managers, with a specific focus on transfer agency services. He joined HSBC in 2005.
