Wu Tang-chieh named Taiwan’s vice minister of finance

Taiwan’s executive body the Executive Yuan announced on Monday (September 2) that Wu Tang-chieh, vice chairman of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), has been named to replace Tseng Ming-chung as vice minister of finance.
Tien-Mu Hang, director-general of the Securities and Futures Bureau, will take over Mr. Wu’s position at the FSC.
Mr. Wu previously held various senior positions at the Ministry of Finance, including vice chairman of the Securities and Futures Bureau.
The appointments come a month after Mr. Tseng was appointed to succeed Yuh Chang Chen as chairperson of the FSC.
Separately, the Executive Yuan approved the appointment of Jin-Der Chiang, former president of First Commercial Bank, as chairman of First Financial Holdings.
