Jane Fung joins PGI from Old Mutual

Principal Global Investors (PGI) has appointed Jane Fung as director, head of funds distribution Asia. She will officially join the firm on October 3.
Based in Hong Kong, Ms. Fung will be responsible for leading the firm’s UCITS and QIF funds distribution efforts in Asia by developing and growing its relationships with key intermediaries, including IFAs, fund selectors and key investment platforms, across asset classes. She will report to Kirk West, PGIs’ executive director international investments and Andrea Muller, chief executive Asia. Currently there are 29 funds offered by ten boutiques of PGI and the total assets under management of the firm were US$289.1 billion as of June 30 this year.

Prior to joining PGI, Ms. Fung was regional sales head, Asia for Old Mutual Global Investors where she was responsible for the company’s regional sales and marketing strategies. Prior to that, she held positions at Credit Agricole Asset Management Hong Kong and Baring Asset Management Hong Kong, where she was also responsible for sales and distribution.
