Joseph Tang appointed as CIO at Pinebridge Investments Taiwan

Global multi-asset class manager PineBridge Investments has appointed Joseph Tang as senior vice president, chief investment officer in Taiwan, with immediate effect.

In his position, Mr. Tang will oversee the management of local and overseas equities and fixed income, as well as fund of funds. Based in Taipei, he will report directly to Ann Yang, PineBridge’s Taiwan CEO.

Commenting on the appointment, Ms. Yang said: “I am excited to have Joseph on board for one of PineBridge’s key Asian markets. His appointment underscores our commitment to hire senior talent with both on-the-ground and global expertise to drive our business in markets where we see unparalleled opportunities.”

Mr. Tang added: “I am honoured to take up the role of CIO of PineBridge in Taiwan. I look forward to working with the team and building on the solid track record of Taiwan portfolios. PineBridge has developed a reputation in Taiwan of innovation in new funds and strong customer service, and I intend to build on and grow these capabilities.”

Mr. Tang brings with him over 20 years of experience in equity investment. Prior to joining PineBridge, he was the CIO for Value Partners Concord Asset Management Co Ltd. He previously worked for JTM Capital Partners (HK) Ltd and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Taiwan and the US, and holds an MBA from The City University of New York, Baruch College.
