Stanley Yip calls it a day as CEO at Principal Hong Kong

Principal Finance Group has announced the appointment of Arthur Bacci to the position of head – Hong Kong Group, Principal International, and the appointment of Camill Cheung as head of mutual fund sales and marketing, Principal Global Investor (Asia).
The company also revealed hat Stanley Yip retired as chief executive officer of the Hong Kong office at the end of June. “I am grateful for Stanley’s tremendous contributions to the company over the last 12 years. With his distinguished leadership, Principal Hong Kong has become one of the most successful pension providers in the industry,” said President of Principal Financial Group – Asia, Rex Auyeung.
Commenting on the new appointments, Mr. Auyeung said: “Arthur brings extensive industry experience and exceptional strategic leadership to our Hong Kong operations.” He added: “Camill is a veteran with years of sales and marketing experiences in asset management and banking. She will help further strengthen our sales distribution channels and new marketing initiatives.”
Mr. Bacci joined Principal in 2002 as chief financial officer of Principal Trust Company (Delaware). He became the company’s president and CEO in 2005, and he was additionally named the role of president and CEO of Principal Bank in 2007. He also served on the board of directors of both companies. Prior to joining Principal, Mr. Bacci served as chief financial officer and then president of Ashton Technology Group, a developer of electronic securities trading systems for the financial securities industry.
Ms. Cheung possesses 13 years of solid experience in sales and marketing in the asset management and banking industry. Before joining Principal, she was the head of marketing and product development at Robeco Hong Kong Limited, responsible for overseeing marketing initiatives and product development in Greater China and South East Asia region.
