Allianz Global Investors appoints new global COO

Allianz Global Investors has confirmed that George McKay, currently chief operations officer of Allianz Global Investors Asia-Pacific, will assume additional global responsibilities from January 1, 2012. He will continue as COO for the Asia-Pacific region of the business.
From January 1, Allianz Global Investors will become a globally integrated investment management company operating across 19 markets. With nearly 700 investment professionals worldwide across equities, fixed income and multi-asset classes, it offers a range of distinct investment capabilities, and provides clients with a comprehensive and constantly evolving range of products and services.
