Andrew Reynolds to become BlackRock’s CFO for Asia-Pacific

Andrew Reynolds has been appointed to the newly-created role of chief financial officer (CFO) and head of corporate strategy, APAC, at BlackRock.
Joining the firm on February 25, he will be based in Hong Kong and report locally to Mark McCombe, senior managing director,
chairman, Asia/Pacific at the firm. Mr. Reynolds will also take on line-management responsibility for the Taiwan and Korea country heads.
CFO is a new function in Asia for BlackRock and the finance role combination with a strategy function is also new. This is to more closely align the finance and strategy teams in the execution of developing the company’s business regionally.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Reynolds worked at CLSA from 2000 to 2013 culminating as global COO and CEO Asia from 2012 to 2013, and as CEO of Asia for the year preceding that. He has significant international experience having worked in senior roles in Hong Kong, Korea and South Africa.
