CCB Principal Asset Management’s Jiang Xianzhou has resigned from his position as managing director (MD), effective from March 21. At the same time he also relinquished his position as MD of CCB Principal Capital Management, a subsidiary of CCB Principal Asset Management.

Mr. Jiang’s replacement is yet to be announced but local media are speculating that the company’s general manager, Sun Zhichen, will assume the role on a temporary basis.

Mr. Jiang previously held various senior positions at China Construction Bank (CCB), where he worked in both the overseas business and custodian departments. He moved to CCB Principal Asset Management after CCB established its asset management vehicle CCB Principal Asset Management in 2005.

CCB Principal Asset Management is ranked as the 13th largest asset manager in China with total asset under management of around 38.2 billion RMB (US$6.11 billion) as at the end of March 2014.
