Hong Kong-based investment manager Admiral Investment Limited has appointed Kenneth Tsang as the senior consultant to its board of directors. He has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry spanning across construction, real estate consulting, corporate planning, real estate research and investment strategy and sell-side equity research.
"Kenneth's joining marks a major milestone for Admiral," said David Edwards, chairman of Admiral. "Kenneth and I have worked together several times since the 1990s. His depth of knowledge and work ethics are unparalleled in the industry, and he is respected and trusted throughout the industry. The entire Admiral team will benefit from his insights."
Admiral has placed specific emphasis on creating its stock and industry research protocol since its founding in 2013. Mr. Tsang will advise on any and all issues to help the company to continually develop and perfect its research protocol. He will also join the strategic decision committee, which steers Admiral’s product offering. Other members of the committee include Mr. Edwards and the firm’s chief investment officer, Victor Yeung.
"With Kenneth's joining, Admiral's core investment team has become one of the strongest teams in Asia Pacific. The three senior members together have over 60 years of investment experience," said Mr. Yeung. "Kenneth is one of the most experienced figures in the industry and has investment experience in all major Asia Pacific markets. He has also worked through all major forms – corporate, direct funds, securities – of real estate investment."
Before joining Admiral, Mr. Tsang was senior analyst, leading the Hong Kong and China real estate listed securities research team, at sell side research firm Sanford C. Bernstein. Prior to that, he held senior positions at private equity real estate investment firms including being Asia Pacific head, research and strategy with LaSalle Investment Management, director of research and strategy with ING Real Estate Management (now CBRE Global Investors), and head of Greater China research, amongst other roles, at Jones Lang LaSalle.
