The Asian Handbook of State Pensions and Other Major Funds

Pension funds in the Asia-Pacific region are on the move. Across the region, state-run and privately managed pension funds have been embarking on new initiatives. In the last 18 months, some of these moves are beginning to bring results for scheme members. One important area that has seen much progress has been in the management of scheme assets; portfolios have started to embrace cross-border investments and the pace of diversification has started to gather momentum.

The 2006/2007 Handbook on Pension Funds in the Asia-Pacific region will be expanded this year. The Handbook will feature interviews with senior officials of the major funds in the region, profiling their investment activities as well as their plans for the future. Each fund’s asset allocation will be detailed alongside of its investment history, performance and the relevant managers appointed to manage each strategy.
