With over 20 years of experience, Singapore’s Fullerton Fund Management continues to show strengths in the retail space and Asian bond space, as it emerged victorious in Asia Asset Management’s Best of the Best 2025 awards, taking home two awards – Best Retail Asset Management Company and the performance award for Asia Bonds (local currency – 3 years).
“These accolades reflect our robust investment expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional investment solutions for our clients,” Fullerton tells AAM in a statement.
Retail specialist
Fullerton’s success in the retail space has been driven by several key attributes, including its strong heritage and expertise, innovative product offerings, strategic partnerships, and robust marketing strategies.
It says the diversified range of offerings, including equities, fixed income, treasury management, alternatives, multi-assets, have been able to meet investors’ various investment needs. “Our recently launched T&O SGD money market offering is an example of our commitment to innovative investment solutions that meet the evolving needs of the market,” Fullerton says.
The company has also proven that it is able to understand the needs of local retail investors. Its SGD Heritage Series exemplifies Fullerton’s ability to resonate with Singaporean investors through relatable, culturally relevant marketing.
“The accompanying “kopi funds” campaign analogised investment options to local coffee preferences, making investment concepts accessible and engaging,” Fullerton explains.
It also partnered with various financial institutions, including Standard Chartered Bank and Maybank, to enhance its reach to retail investors. “This allows us to target the retail segments effectively,” Fullerton says.
The firm’s efforts in developing innovative funds and marketing campaigns have also been recognised by the industry, including winning accolades like Singapore MARKies Gold award for Most Creative (print), awarded by Marketing Interactive Asia.
Asian bond excellence
Fullerton says its fixed income team consists of experienced portfolio managers and research analysts, who have an average 21 years experience in the industry, as at end March 2025.
“This extensive expertise has proven essential for navigating the dynamic fixed income landscape. The team manages a diverse array of strategies to cater to both retail and institutional investors, including SGD credit, Asian credit, hard currency, local currency, absolute returns, and global macro solutions,” Fullerton says.
The company adds that its fixed income team’s success is underscored by a nuanced understanding of the market, robust credit research capabilities, comprehensive sector coverage, a strong emphasis on valuations, and a meticulous approach to risk calibration.
Meeting evolving investor needs
To ensure its suite of solutions evolves to meet the changing needs of investors, Fullerton adopts a multifaceted approach that taps on a wide range of investment strategies, innovation and adaptability.
Fullerton says its wide range of investment products has enabled the company to create customised solutions that can adapt to varying market conditions and investor requirements.
It is a strategy based on building strong relationships with its clients, and this has allowed the team to gain valuable insights into their investment goals, risk tolerances, and changing priorities. “Regular feedback helps us tailor our solutions effectively, ensuring we address the specific needs of our investors,” Fullerton says.
Technology and innovation also play important roles in Fullerton’s ability to continuously enhance its investment offerings. By integrating new technologies and employ advanced analytics, the company has been able to launch new, relevant investment solutions that meet the evolving needs of investors.
Building strong culture
Fullerton also understands that a company’s growth is largely driven by its people and talent. With that in mind, Fullerton places a strong emphasis on building a strong company culture.
“We prioritise building a strong company culture that aligns with our vision, mission and values, which are fundamental to our success. Our culture is open and collaborative, emphasising ethics and accountability. We foster relationships, create value for our stakeholders, and strive to deliver a unique experience to our clients,” the company says.
“Our vision – “Optimising Investment Outcome, Enhancing Investment Experience” and our mission, which aims to inspire trust, build relationships, and generate innovative and sustainable solutions, provide a solid foundation for our culture,” the statement adds.
It also points to its six core values: Excellence, Openness, Courage, Accountability, Integrity, and Collaboration, which are integral to the firm’s daily operations.
“To keep our team motivated and continually striving for excellence, we invest in nurturing and developing talent. Our comprehensive talent development policies focus on skill enhancement and creating career pathways that promote growth within the firm. We actively identify and nurture exceptional talents and future leaders across all levels, ensuring they thrive in our environment,” it says.
