AIG Korea Inc is seeking asset managers to oversee its domestic bond portfolio.
The portfolio comprises government and public debt but excludes exchange-traded funds and derivatives, the insurance firm, a unit of American International Group, says in a request for proposal on February 13.
The document doesn’t disclose the value of the portfolio or specify the number of asset managers that will be hired.
Asset management firms bidding on the tender must be registered in Korea and manage at least 1 trillion won (US$689 million) of assets, with a minimum 60% allocated to bond investments.
