Japan’s Dai-ichi Life Holdings and French information technology firm Capgemini have signed an agreement to establish a global capability centre in India.
According to Dai-ichi Life, the centre will tap into India’s deep pool of skilled professionals to support the insurer’s digital strategies and accelerate its digital transformation.
It says the collaboration with Capgemini will also leverage the centre’s digital capabilities, including infrastructure modernisation and cybersecurity measures.
“The centre is designed with the flexibility to expand into other countries based on market needs and potential, to support the global ambitions of Dai-ichi Life Group,” the insurer says in a statement on June 12.
Tokyo-based Dai-ichi Life had around 69.59 trillion yen (US$476.3 billion) of assets as of March 2025.
