Australian superannuation fund Brighter Super has appointed David O’Donnell, its head of diversified portfolios, as acting chief investment officer to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Mark Rider.
Rider retired from the fund on December 5 after serving advance notice of his departure in September.
Brighter Super is still in the process of searching for a permanent replacement, the fund says in a statement on December 12.
It did not say if O’Donnell, who has worked at the fund since 2017, will remain head of diversified portfolios on top of being interim CIO.
Brighter Super is a superannuation fund for the health and community services industry in Queensland, with around A$36 billion (US$24 billion) of assets under management and more than 348,000 members.
