Australian asset manager First Sentier Investors has promoted Lauren Prendiville to managing director and head of distribution in Asia, and appointed Christy Goh as head of distribution for Southeast Asia.
Prendiville was previously head of distribution for Southeast Asia and Middle East, and Goh was head of intermediary business of Southeast Asia.
Based in Singapore, Prendiville will in her new role work across multiple client segments, including pension funds, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, endowment funds and private clients, First Sentier says in a statement on November 1.
She reports to Chief Executive Officer Mark Steinberg for all non-distribution matters, and to Harry Moore, the global head of distribution, for distribution responsibilities. Goh reports to Prendiville.
Steinberg says in the statement that Asia “represents a key growth opportunity for our business”, and that Prendiville’s promotion “is a natural progression of her expanding oversight role in the region”.
Prendiville joined the company as director for institutional business in 2014.
Sydney-based First Sentier had US$178.6 billion of assets as of September 2021.
