BNP Paribas Asset Management has promoted Maya Kamdani to president director of its Indonesian unit, PT. BNP Paribas Asset Management.
She succeeds Priyo Santoso, who headed the unit for three years and has retired to pursue interests elsewhere, the French asset manager says in a statement on January 3.
Kamdani was previously the deputy president director, a role she had held since January 2023.
Her new appointment was effective December 31, and she reports to Mike Nikou, the Asia Pacific chief executive officer.
She joined PT. BNP Paribas Asset Management as head of marketing and product development in 2008.
Paris-based BNP Paribas Asset Management had 524 billion euros (US$572.12 billion) of assets under management as of September 2023.
