BNP Paribas has appointed Claudine Gallagher as its new head of BNP Paribas Securities Services globally, effective January 1 next year.
She will succeed Patrick Colle, who will become executive chairman of BNP Paribas Securities Services, in addition to his role as chairman of financial institutions coverage, BNP Paribas says in a statement on June 27.
Gallagher will report to Colle and will join the leadership team of BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking.
She is currently head of human resources officer at BNP Paribas CIB Americas and previously head of Americas for Securities Services.
Yann Gérardin, chief operating officer and head of corporate and institutional banking at BNP Paribas, says Gallagher has over 30 years experience in the banking industry, with “deep management experience across both business and control functions”.
“I have complete confidence in her ability to build on our existing strengths, leveraging our increasingly integrated bank model to further expand our institutional client franchise and drive long-term growth,” Gérardin says.
BNP Paribas Securities Services had US$15.4 trillion in assets under custody, $2.9 trillion in assets under administration and 9,350 funds administered as of end-March.
