Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing (HKEX) has hired Johnson Chui from Japan’s Nomura Group as managing director and head of global issuer services.
He will lead global issuer services teams in Hong Kong, China, London and Singapore, taking over this function from Christina Bao, co-head of sales and marketing, who is leaving HKEX after eight years, the bourse says in a statement on August 27.
His appointment is effective September 2 and he will report to Wilfred Yiu and Glenda So, co-heads of markets.
Chui was managing director, vice chairman of investment banking and head of equity capital market, Asia ex-Japan at Nomura. Before that, he was head of equity capital markets for Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse.
