HSBC Asset Management has hired Karim Ghannam from Singapore private equity firm 8F Asset Management as global head of real assets and head of alternatives for Singapore.

He will oversee strategic development and management of real asset offerings comprising listed, direct and indirect strategies, the company says in a statement on August 7.
He reports to Joanna Munro, the chief executive officer of alternatives.
Ghannam co-founded 8F Asset Management and was its chief investment officer.
London-based HSBC Asset Management had US$808 billion of assets under management as of June 2025.
