The Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) has promoted Andry Setiawan and Christopher Ganis to chief investment officers, just four months after reappointing Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja to the role for a five-year term.
INA announced the duo’s appointments in a statement on June 17. Spokespersons for INA told Asia Asset Management that the duo succeeded Hadiwidjaja and chief operating officer Arief Budiman, who are now with Danantara, Indonesia’s new sovereign wealth fund.
According to the wealth fund, the appointments of Setiawan and Ganis “underscore INA’s continued commitment to responsible investment, strong governance, and long-term value creation for Indonesia”.
Setiawan joined INA in 2021 as managing director of investments from PT Danareksa, Indonesia’s national asset Management company, where he was director of investment.
Ganis was hired last year from US asset management giant BlackRock as a managing director in INA’s investment team, which was then led by Hadiwidjaja. He was head of private credit at BlackRock.
