Japan’s Nomura Asset Management has promoted Terence Lam to chief executive officer of its Singapore office.

Lam, who takes over from Takahiro Kawabe, will also retain his existing position as head of distribution for Asia ex-Japan, Nomura says in a statement on December 19.
His CEO role is effective January 1.
Lam joined Nomura in June this year from AXA Investment Management, where he was the managing director.
He has also worked at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Franklin Templeton Investments Asia, Deutsche Asset Management, and Credit Agricole Asset Management.
Tokyo-based Nomura Asset Management managed 100 trillion yen (US$673 billion) of assets as of end-September 2025.
