The Philippines’ Social Security System’s (SSS) investment head Rizaldy Capulong has retired after more than 30 years working at the state-run pension fund for private sector employees.
The SSS has not officially announced his retirement and his name is still listed on the fund’s website.
Capulong confirmed rumours of his departure to Asia Asset Management. He says he took early retirement on April 19 after it was approved by the Social Security Commission, the SSS’ governing board, in March.
He says he is now catching up on family life but is open to new opportunities. He is also teaching part-time at the University of Philippines.
Capulong began his career at the SSS as a senior actuarial researcher in 1991, and rose through the ranks to hold several leadership positions. He retired as executive vice president for investments.
The SSS had 936.3 billion pesos (US$16.2 billion) of total assets as of end-March.
