US asset manager PineBridge Investment has appointed Nicolas Kopitsis as head of intermediary distribution for Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Kopitsis, who was previously head of wealth management for Asia, will oversee the intermediary business strategy and distribution of investment products, including to private banks and family offices, in his new role, PineBridge says in a statement on January 10. He is based in Singapore.
According to Chief Revenue Officer Servio Ramirez, the intermediary channel, especially private banks, will continue to play a key role in driving PineBridge’s expansion after assets under management grew 50% over the past five years to stand at US$150 billion as of end-2023.
“I am confident that, under Nicolas’ leadership, we will further extend the reach of our high-quality solutions and provide exceptional value to both new and existing clients,” he says.
Before joining PineBridge in 2021, Kopitsis was head of intermediary distribution for Asia ex-Japan at BNY Mellon.
