Dutch asset manager Robeco has hired Anton Eser from the UK’s Legal & General Investment Management to succeed Mark van der Kroft as chief investment officer.
Kroft, who has worked at Robeco since 2000, is retiring on October 1.
Eser’s appointment is effective September 1, when he will also become a member of Robeco’s executive committee, the Rotterdam-based asset management firm says in a statement on July 24.
Eser, who was CIO at Legal & General Investment, has over 25 years of experience in global financial markets.
According to Robeco, he played a pivotal role in transforming Legal & General Investment from a UK-focused fund house into a global asset manager with more than US$1.5 trillion of assets.
Robeco had 214 billion euros ($251 billion) of assets under management as of end-2024.
