Singapore’s central bank and financial regulator has appointed two new board members.
Goh Swee Chen, chairman of The National Arts Council, and Ho Teck Hua, president of the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, joined the board of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on June 1.
Lim Hng Kiang, special adviser to the ministry of trade and industry, was also reappointed to the board.
MAS announced the appointments in a statement on June 2.
According to Gan Kim Yong, deputy prime minister and chairman of the central bank, the trio’s perspective and experience from their respective fields will strengthen the board’s collective expertise “to navigate an increasingly complex and challenging world”.
All the appointments are for three years.
