The UK’s Jupiter Asset Management has tapped Piers Hillier from Royal London Asset Management as its new chief investment officer.
He took over the role from Matthew Beesley, Jupiter’s chief executive officer who had also been the CIO.
Hillier will oversee the company’s investment management teams and lead development of new investment propositions, Jupiter says in a statement on February 20.
Hillier had been CIO of Royal London Asset Management since 2015. Before that, he was head of equities at Kames Capital.
“We are delighted to welcome Piers as he formally takes up the role of chief investment officer at this exciting time for Jupiter. We have already made meaningful progress in strengthening our investment platform, and his leadership will be critical as we continue to build on that momentum,” Beesley says.
