UK asset and wealth management consultancy Alpha FMC has hired Paul Tan as a director for its Asia Pacific regional team to help expand on its “accelerated growth trajectory” in the region.
Mr. Tan was formerly managing director for Asia Pacific at US management consultancy Greenwich Associates, and was principal for financial services at New York-based management consulting firm Oliver Wyman before that.
According to Alpha FMC, its asset and wealth management team in Asia is "already on an accelerated growth trajectory" and Mr. Tan’s appointment will help to further expand the business.
"This great appointment shows further commitment to the creation of a truly local Alpha FMC team in the same mould that has made us successful in other locations,” Michael Chaille, executive director of Alpha FMC Asia, says in a September 3 statement announcing the hiring.
He says the appointment will help accelerate "development of our market presence and scale in the region".
Mr. Tan says it was an “easy decision” to join Alpha FMC.
"I am excited to be part of the team at Alpha FMC and promote its growth and localisation in the region," he says in the statement.
According to London-based Alpha FMC’s website, the company has more than 360 consultants globally, serving 80% of the world's top 20 fund management companies.
