Bank of Singapore, the private banking unit of OCBC Bank, has hired veteran UBS banker Lim Leong Guan as global head of products to replace Marc van de Walle, who resigned in April.
He will lead product strategy and oversee innovation and expansion of offerings, and also concurrently be OCBC Bank’s head of group wealth products, Bank of Singapore says in a statement on June 8.
Mr. Lim worked at Swiss lender UBS for 25 years, most recently as head of wealth planning for Asia Pacific and head of investment products for Singapore at UBS Wealth Management.
Meanwhile, Mr. van de Walle will take up a new job as global head of wealth management business at Standard Chartered next month.
Bank of Singapore had US$117 billion of assets under management as of end-2019.
