US asset manager State Street Global Advisors has hired Joanne Siu as head of SPDR exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for Hong Kong to replace Ray Chan, who left the company in April.
Ms. Siu, who has 15 years of experience in the asset management industry and specialises in ETF sales and distribution, was previously sales director at Jupiter Asset Management.
She will oversee State Street Global Advisors’ ETF business in Hong Kong, focusing on distribution, the company says in a statement on September 22.
She reports to Meaghan Victor, the head of SPDR ETF Asia Pacific distribution.
State Street Global Advisors says the four Hong Kong-listed ETFs that it manages recorded US$1.98 billion of net inflows between January 1 and September 18.
The company had $3.05 trillion of assets under management as of end-June 2020.
