Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management arm of UK insurer Prudential Plc, has hired Polly Wang as Taiwan chief executive officer, filling a position that’s been vacant for a year.
Ms. Wang joins the company from Nomura Asset Management Taiwan, where she was the CEO.
Her appointment is effective November 2.
She will be responsible for continuing the growth and development of Eastspring’s retail and institutional business in Taiwan, and will report to CEO Wai-Kwong Seck, the company says in a statement on October 22.
Ms. Wang succeeds Loretta Ng, who left Eastspring in October 2019 to join UK fund house M&G Investments as head of Asia.
Singapore-based Eastspring had over US$220 billion of assets under management as of June 2020.
