Korea Teachers’ Credit Union (KTCU) has appointed former Deputy Prime Minister Kim Sang-gon as chairman.
He will serve for a three-year term effective November 12, the credit union says in a statement on November 11.
Mr. Kim succeeds Cha Sung-soo, who left the institution at the beginning of the year to contest in the general election in April.
Mr. Kim was the deputy prime minister and education minister from July 2017 to October 2018
KTCU had around 41 trillion won (US$36.7 billion) of total assets as of June 2020.
