Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) has hired Anthony Crampton, a finance and accounting veteran, as head of management reporting and facilities management.
The appointment is effective November 1 and he will report to Group Chief Financial Officer Vanessa Lau, HKEX says in a statement on September 13. It’s not clear whether the position is newly created, and a spokesperson for the bourse says she did not have any additional information.
Crampton, who has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, joins HKEX from the Hong Kong Jockey Club, where he was director of corporate finance responsible for building a financial management system.
The bourse says he will help oversee management reporting best practices, as well as its facilities management activities to ensure their functionality and efficiency.
“His expertise will be invaluable to us as we further strengthen our capabilities as the global markets leader in the Asian time zone,” Lau says in the statement.
