German asset manager Allianz Global Investors has hired Jenny Zeng from US rival AllianceBernstein as chief investment officer for Asia fixed income.
Zeng will succeed David Tan, who is taking a break from asset management from the end of January next year, the company says in a statement on November 30. She takes over in 2023 but no date was specified.
Zeng, who has 16 years of experience in asset management, was co-head of Asian fixed income and responsible officer for Hong Kong at AllianceBernstein.
“We are excited to welcome Jenny to AllianzGI, where we believe that she can thrive, working with the team to bring new insights and generate performance for our global client-base,” says Franck Dixmier, the global CIO of fixed income.
Munich-based Allianz Global Investors had 521 billion euros (US$543.64 billion) of assets as of September 2022.
