Hong Kong’s Victory Securities Co Ltd, which specialises in virtual asset advisory and dealing services, has secured a licence from the Securities and Futures Commission to manage investment funds that comprise entirely of virtual assets.

This makes it the only firm in the city with regulatory approvals to provide virtual asset-related dealing, advisory, and asset management services, Victory Securities says in a statement on March 30.

Kennix Chan, the firm’s executive director, describes the regulatory approval as a “significant milestone” that demonstrates the firm’s “commitment to providing safe and reliable virtual asset services in Hong Kong”.

"We are very excited to reach another milestone and we look forward to providing a full range of virtual asset related services and products to our clients in the coming days." Chan says in the statement.
