Australia’s Monochrome Asset Management, which listed a bitcoin exchange-traded fund on securities and derivatives exchange Cboe Australia last year, has now applied to list an ethereum ETF.
According to the asset management firm, its Monochrome Ethereum ETF will broaden the range of regulated crypto asset investment options that are available to Australian investors.
“The ETF will also be a dual-access fund which will allow cash and in-kind applications and redemptions for investors,” Monochrome says in a statement on September 6.
The company expects Cboe Australia to decide on its listing application before the end of the month.
Monochrome’s bitcoin fund, IBTC ETF, was listed on the exchange in March 2023 and currently has a market capitalisation of A$11.3 million (US$7.53 million).
