The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has appointed David Clarke to succeed Damian Roche as chair.
Clarke, who has 40 years of experience in investment banking, fund management and property, has joined the bourse as non-executive director and chair elect.
He will officially take over when Roche retires after ASX’s annual general meeting on October 28, the bourse says in a statement on September 11.
Clarke is also chair of several Australian and New Zealand investment and insurance firms, including Fisher Funds Management and Resolution Life Australasia.
